Volunteer Centre St Helens is based in the heart of the town centre within easy reach of the local bus and rail network. It offers a variety of information and advice on volunteering related issues.

With over 300 opportunities available across St Helens, our friendly staff will sit down with you in a confidential setting to help you choose the most appropriate direction for you. If you are unable to make an appointment to see us face to face, you can always contact us by phone or email to get more details on volunteering opportunities of your choice. 

Do you need extra help to get involved?
If you feel you need help to contact the organisations you want to volunteer with or would like some support to start you off on your volunteering journey, then our Supported Volunteering Project could be just for you. 

Are you aged between 16 and 25?  Our VInvolved Team are here to support you in finding the right opportunity for you.

Organisations – Do you want to involve volunteers?
The team here in St Helens can help you develop your volunteering programmes, whether you currently involve volunteers or don’t know where to start. We can offer help and guidance with putting together your policies and procedures, looking at recruitment and selection and how to market your opportunities.

We also have a dedicated Investing In Volunteers Officer who can help support you work towards the Volunteering England quality standard.

Our Volunteer Coordinators Network meets on a quarterly basis to share good practice, discuss strategical volunteering related issues and develop joint marketing plans to recruit more volunteers.

Organisations – Reward your volunteers
Through the Volunteer Centre you can access our Destination 1000 volunteer certificate scheme that will recognise and reward the involvement of volunteers within your organisation
