Volunteering Merseyside collects information about local volunteer-involving organisations and their current volunteer opportunities. Volunteering Merseyside members also work with local organisations to develop new and exciting volunteering opportunities. Volunteering Merseyside members specialise in giving advice and information on all aspects of volunteering and enable people to get involved in a wide range of voluntary activity locally, nationally and internationally. Volunteering Merseyside members provide advice, information and support on all aspects of volunteer management to local organisations and agencies. Volunteering Merseyside members are involved in a range of activities related to volunteering. Key activities include: - Interviewing and signposting prospective volunteers - Collecting and holding information on local volunteering opportunities - Offering support and training to volunteers and to agencies in the voluntary and public sectors which work with volunteers - Promoting good practice in local voluntary activity and volunteer management - Developing new activities which involve volunteers Volunteering Merseyside strives to ensure that volunteers are not discriminated against and that they are fully supported throughout their voluntary activity.
