Volunteering Merseyside (VM) is the name of the consortium of the 10 Greater Merseyside Volunteer Centres (VCs) and Volunteer Development Agencies (VDAs). All the Greater Merseyside VCs/ VDAs are nationally branded and quality accredited, or are working towards this branding and accreditation, who strive to promote, support and develop volunteering throughout Merseyside. Volunteering Merseyside aims to encourage people from all walks of life to get involved in their community. It provides a link between individuals and organisations in need of volunteers to help them fulfil their aims throughout Greater Merseyside. Volunteering Merseyside promotes good practice in working with volunteers to all local volunteer-involving organisations. Volunteering Merseyside provides extensive advice, information and support services and can deliver training and accreditation for potential volunteers, volunteer managers and organisations. Volunteering Merseyside members include: Volunteer Centre VCAW Bebington, Volunteer Centre Halton, Volunteer Centre VCAW Heswall, Volunteer Centre VCAW West Kirby, Knowsley CVS Volunteer Support, Volunteer Centre Liverpool, Volunteer Centre Sefton, Volunteer Centre St Helens, Volunteer Centre VCAW Wallasey, Volunteer Centre Wirral. Volunteering Merseyside members work with and support over 1300 local volunteer-involving organisations and agencies. VM promotes and advertises over 2400 current volunteering opportunities which are available throughout Greater Merseyside. Annually, Volunteering Merseyside recruits and refers approximately 4200 new volunteers to local volunteer-involving organisations.
