Youth Volunteer Advisor

This post is full time (35hrs per week) until 31st March 2011.
A 6 month secondment would also be considered.

Halton Voluntary Action is a pioneering infrastructure organisation nurturing local groups, voluntary organisations and charities in the Runcorn and Widnes areas of Cheshire.

We need someone to join our proactive vinvolved team who will share our passion for youth volunteering. We need a friendly, outgoing, highly effective time manager with an enthusiastic and flexible work ethic to meet the needs of our clients and stretching targets.

Duties include: recruiting and supporting young volunteers (16-25yrs), working with voluntary organisations and statutory bodies involving volunteers to create / develop quality volunteering opportunities, event planning and delivery, promotion of volunteering as a positive activity, group presentations and report writing.

Applicants need to be able think creatively, have excellent organisational and communication skills, and a good working knowledge of databases and MS office.

Holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum pro rata.
