RSVP encourages people over 50 who have time and energy to spare to become involved as volunteers in their local community. Nationwide RSVP is managed by volunteers as regional co-ordinators and organisers and has 13,500 volunteers in educational, environmental, community care and health projects.

You will develop the work and profile of RSVP across England by promoting volunteering for people of 50+ and support older people in the use of their skills and experience, to make a positive contribution in their local community.

You will need experience of leading a national programme, with excellent project management skills including empowering staff, setting and monitoring budgets and outcomes, communicating with funders and partners.  You will need to be prepared to travel throughout England and occasionally to work unsociable hours.  A commitment to volunteering and its potential impact on individuals and communities is essential.
